The person in possession of the Death Note is possessed by a god of death, its orginal owner, until they die.
Die Person, welche im Besitz des Death Notes ist, wird von einem Todesgott begleitet, bis sie stirbt.
If a human uses the note, a god of death usually appers in front of him/her within 39 days after he/she uses the note.
Der Todesgott erscheint für gewöhnlich innerhalb von 39 Tagen, nachdem der Mensch das Buch zum ersten Mal benutzt.
Gods of Death, the orginal owners of the Death Note, do not do, in principle, anything which will help or prevent the deaths in the note.
Der Todesgott, dem das Death Note ursprünglich gehörte, unternimmt nichts, was die in dem Buch aufgezeichneten Tode unterstützt oder behindert..
A Shinigami has no obligation to completely explain how to use the note or rules which woll apply to the human who owns it unless asked.
Der Shinigami ist nicht verpflichtet die Gebrauchsweise des Death Notes oder die damit verbundenen Regeln vollständig zu erklären.
